Dr. Carrie (Adamson) Morabito, the first graduate of our Au.D. program, and her husband, Andrew Morabito, of Advanced Hearing Centers, recently returned from the Dominican Republic where they fit 900 children with 1,800 free hearing aids. These 1,800 free hearing aids were donated courtesy of the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The mission of the Starkey Hearing Foundation is to provide hearing aids to people in under served countries. The foundation donates the equipment, and people like the Morabito's give of themselves for one week.
You can learn more about the Morabito's work in the Dominican Republic by watching a newscast from 10NBC/WHEC-TV-10
